On October 17th, 2022, employees of the Department of Sectoral Economic Analysis of the ESRI, Emil Gasimov and Parvin Idrisli, participated in the presentation of scientific research work of the Scientific Research Institute for Economic Studies under the UNEC.

In his opening remarks, UNEC’s vice-provost on Science Sakit Yagubov provided information about the assessment of losses incurred as a result of the military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan. Then, a Senior Research Fellow of the Scientific Research Institute for Economic Studies and the ESRI, Associate Professor Farhad Mikayilov, presented information to the faculty, researchers and representatives of other state entities on the research conducted to assess the total losses incurred by Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War, as well as on the various assessment methods and the results achieved. Also, the methodological approaches "on the potential losses due to damage to life and health of people in Azerbaijan as a result of military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan" and the evaluations made based on the chosen methodology were presented during the event.

At the end of the event, the participants’ proposals on the conducted scientific research were heard and the questions were answered by way of discussions on the topic.
