The members of the competition commission emphasized that the great interest to the competition and the richness of the content of articles were a manifestation of love and respect to Heydar Aliyev’s personality.
The winners of the republic-wide and international scientific and practical article writing competition titled “A state with a strong economy is capable of anything” within the framework of the Action Plan in respect to the announcement of 2023 in the Republic of Azerbaijan as the Heydar Aliyev Year and launched by Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) under the Ministry of Economy were presented to the public.
Delivering the opening remarks during the event which took place in a hybrid format, Chair of the Board of Directors of the ESRI, Mahir Humbatov, spoke of the unprecedented contributions of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev to the economic and institutional development of Azerbaijan and of his undeniable services for Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanism. Recalling that the aim of the competition was to promote Heydar Aliyev’s legacy, as well as to study the current social and economic course embarked by our country he thanked everyone who joined the competition for the interest and appreciation shown. Disclosing the names of the winners Mahir Humbatov wished them success in their future endeavours.
Afterwards, Chair of the Competition Commission, First Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of the ESRI, doctor of economic sciences, Arzu Huseynova provided general information about the competition. She noted that the competition received about 80 articles in 4 languages from 12 countries. Ms. Huseynova brought to the attention that the special articles selected by the Competition Commission and approved by the Editorial Staff will be published in the ESRI journal and journal of Economic Cooperation Organisation where the ESRI serves as the editor-in-chief.
Speaking at the event members of the competition commission dwelt on the contributions of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev to the state of Azerbaijan and its economic policy. They emphasized that such a great interest to the competition and the richness of the content of articles were a manifestation of love and respect to Heydar Aliyev’s personality.
Then, 8 winners from 6 countries were given the floor to deliver their short remarks. They, in their turn expressed their gratitude to the ESRI for organizing such a competition. They also thanked the members of the Competition Commission for high level evaluation of articles in line with the relevant criteria.
