On August 24th, 2023 a meeting with Director-General of Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, Ilham Bayramov and Director of Department of Methodology of Compliance Assessment and Management Systems Gulbaji Aliyeva took place at the Economic Scientific Research Institute (The ESRI).
Chairman of the Board of the ESRI, Mahir Humbatov, First Deputy Chairperson of the Board, doctor of economic sciences, Arzu Huseynova, Leading Research fellow of Department of Analysis of Macroeconomic Policy, Malik Mehdiyev and Junior Research Fellow of the same department Afraim Mammadov attended the meeting.
In the course of the meeting the parties discussed issues in relation to the application of standards. Views on the efficiency of the application of standards, assistance in the development of standards, organization of trainings on standardization were exchanged.
The parties proposed to develop different mechanisms on joint action.
Opportunities for cooperation in a number of areas were also discussed.
