On the 16th of December 2022, a video conference discussion was held on Global Innovation Index Publication 2022 with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the organization of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Representatives of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, the Intellectual Property Agency, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Central Bank, State Statistical Committee, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, Small and Medium Business (SMB) Development Agency, State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy participated in the video conference.

First Deputy Director of the Chairman of the Board of the ESRI, Doctor of Economic Sciences, prof. Arzu Huseynova represented the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) at the event.  

During the videoconference, WIPO representatives answered questions on important aspects of the Global Innovation Index methodology and the indicators included in the report. In addition, WIPO experts provided relevant explanations and methodological support.

Afterward, it was proposed to continue cooperation in this area and organize training to further improve the indicators of the index.
