The 7th CAREC Think Tank Development Forum on the topic “Embracing Digital Technology for Sustainable Economic Development” took place in Urumqi, the People’s Republic of China from 16th to 17th of August, 2023.
Chairman of the Board of The ESRI, Mahir Humbatov and Leading Research Fellow of Department of Quality Control and Planning of The ESRI, Shukur Guliyev represented The ESRI at the event. M. Humbatov led the Azerbaijani delegation consisting of representatives from the Centre for Economic and Social Development, the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and Ministry of Economy.
In the course of the Forum M. Humbatov delivered a speech on the topic “The role of think tanks in the conditions of geo-economic uncertainties” and answered a number of questions
It should be noted that from September 15th to 16th, 2022, the 6th CAREC Think Tank Development Forum jointly organized by the CAREC Institute and the ESRI took place in Baku. As part of the forum The ESRI and the CAREC Institute signed a memorandum of understanding on joint action.
