On the 16th of August 7th CAREC Think Tanks Development Forum kicked off.
M. Humbatov took part in the limited roundtable discussion titled “Dialogue between Government and Private Sector” as part of the forum. The roundtable discussion was also attended by high ranking officials from Georgia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
China was represented at the roundtable discussion by Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Yema Group, Goldwind Science and Technology Co., China Siwei Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Western Region Group, Xinjiang Abida Bio-technology Development Co. and etc.
The main goal of the discussions was to present the summary of trade and investments dynamics in the CAREC region by sharing the experience of private companies from the People’s Republic of China and other CAREC countries, to explore the ways to improve the development of trade and promotion of investments in the CAREC region, as well as to find out potential cooperation fields between government and private sector.
The discussions continued with question and answer session. There mainly the questions such as “What are the challenges and opportunities for the development of trade and investment promotion in the CAREC region? And what are the best experiences for the promotion of trade and investments in the region?” were answered.
