From the 5th to the 7th of September 2023 Regional Cooperation and Integration Conference on the topic Strengthening Regional Cooperation and Integration through Economic Corridors organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) took place in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
In the course of the conference guidance notes developed recently by the ADB for the development of economic corridors were presented which followed by the speeches of the delegates about the application of the guidance notes in their own countries.
Representing the Economic Scientific Research Institute (The ESRI) at the Conference Junior Research Fellow of the Department of Analysis of Macroeconomic Policy Afraim Mammadov took the floor and dwelt on the works carried out in recent years for the development of economic corridors, Southern Gas Corridor, Middle Corridor and Zangezur Corridor to be commissioned in the future.
Within the framework of the conference negotiations on possible future cooperation between senior management of the CAREC Institute and the ADB were held.
On the last day of the conference an excursion to Azerbaijan-Georgia border was organized for the participants of the event.
