From the 11th to the 14th of September 2023 the Asian Evaluation Week organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) took place in Bangkok, Thailand.
Senior Research Fellow of the Department for the Analysis of Economic Development Policy Elsever Latifli and Junior Research Fellow of the Department for the Analysis of Macroeconomic Policy of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (The ESRI) Afraim Mammadov attended the conference on the topic Beyond Recovery: Evaluation for Development Effectiveness organized within the framework of the Asian Evaluation Week.
The conference discussed topics such as sustainability, inclusive cooperation and innovation in evaluation. In addition, views were exchanged around topics such as difficulties emerging in the application of evaluation in state programs in recent years and use of artificial intelligence in the evaluation.
As part of the conference, The ESRI representatives provided information to the representatives of reputable organizations about The ESRI’s monitoring and evaluation activities. They also conveyed that The ESRI is interested in taking part in such activities during the implementation of regional projects
