From October 30th to November 3rd of 2023 a training titled “India’s Agricultural Cooperatives” organized by the Bankers Institute of Rural Development took place in Lucknow, India.
During the program organized with the support of “The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, the Economic Scientific Research Institute (The ESRI) was represented by Junior Research Fellow of the Department for the Analysis of Macroeconomic Policy, Afraim Mammadov.
During the training an exchange of experience on the lines of development of agricultural cooperatives and their financing channels took place. The participants of the training received first-hand experience in the respective cooperatives and learned the application of theoretical skills and the mechanisms of support of these cooperatives.
At the end of the training, the participants shared their views on the current situation regarding cooperatives in their own countries and prospects of application of Indian experience there.
