ESRI representatives attended a round-table on the topic "Reprocessing of Food Waste”

During the round-table an experience of acquisition of ethyl alcohol of industrial significance from expired products and food waste formed during the production process was shared.

On November 20^th, 2023 a round table on the topic “Reprocessing of Food Waste” took place at Azerbaijan Technical University.

Economic Scientific Research Institute was represented at the round table by junior research fellow of the Department of the Analysis of Economic Development Policy, Habiba Jabbarova and junior research fellow of the Department of the Analysis of Digitalization, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy, Karim Hajiyev.

During the round-table professor of Hacettepe University - Consultant on Research and Development Issues of “Ilgirilar” company operating in the city of Izmir, Turkiye, Behzat Gurkan and representative of the company Osman Ilgin shared the experience of their company in the acquisition of ethyl alcohol of industrial significance from expired products and food waste formed during the production process.

The above-mentioned experience sparked the interest of the participants and the opportunities to engage in the activity in this area in Azerbaijan were discussed.
