On April 30, 2024, Arzu Huseynova, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) gave a presentation on “The Role of Scientific and Technological Potential in the Development of National Power” at the Strategic Studies and Public Defense Management course at the Institute of Military Administration of the National Defense University.

The lecture presented statistical and analytical information on the current situation in higher, vocational education and research institutions of our country, as well as the place of Azerbaijan's scientific potential in international rankings, which are assessed by various indicators. Information was presented on the work done in the field of scientific research and innovative development, and the positive impact of scientific, technical and research activities on the economy was substantiated. The necessity of augmenting financial investment in scientific research, expanding research in various fields of science, involving youth in scientific research from an early age to enhance the contribution of scientific and technological potential to the country's economy was also emphasized.
