The Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) has been entrusted with implementation of the item “Preparation of socio-economic passports of residential areas intended for settlement” of the “Action Plan for the expansion of employment opportunities for the population in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2024-2026”. A draft passport has been prepared and collection of information from agencies has begun.

To that end, in order to collect terrain data and preliminary analysis of the socio-economic situation of the territory from May 20-25, 2024, Head of ESRI's Social Policy and Humanitarian Directions Department, PhD, Associate Professor Farhad Mikailov, Leading Researcher of this department Emin Mustafayev and Senior Researcher Rauf Musayev of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy and Regulation visited Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.

Meetings held with special representatives of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, entrepreneurs, local residents and representatives of other institutions discussed the current situation and explored potential opportunities.
