ESRI staff member participated in the Regional CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF) Workshop
Sabina Mammadli, represented the ESRI at the workshop, put forward several proposals on the potential chapters to be incorporated into the text of the Regional Agreement of CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF).

The Regional CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF) workshop was organized by the Asian Development Bank within the framework of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 19-20, 2024.

Sabina Mammadli, Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (the ESRI), was part of the Azerbaijani delegation at the workshop. During the workshop, knowledge and experience were exchanged on topics such as trade in goods and services, digital trade, trade facilitation, and about the countries' positions regarding the signing of the Regional Agreement on CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF) in the near future, with the active participation of international experts who participated in a hybrid format and country representatives.

S. Mammadli provided an overview of the country's experience and the general procedure for signing Free Trade Agreements and put forward several proposals on the potential chapters to be incorporated into the Agreement's text. These proposals were deemed acceptable by the organizing committee, and detailed notes were taken accordingly.
