ESRI Delegation Visited Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur Economic Regions to Compile Socio-Economic Passports for the Liberated Areas

From August 19th to 23rd, a delegation from the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI), including First Deputy Chairman of the Board Arzu Huseynova, Department Heads Farhad Mikayilov and Sabina Mammadli, and research fellows Rauf Musayev, Emin Mustafayev, and Nigar Ahmadli, visited the Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic regions.

The visit was part of ESRI's efforts to implement the "Action Plan for Increasing Employment Opportunities in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024-2026," specifically under the section titled "Preparation of Socio-Economic Passports for Settlements Designated for Resettlement."

During the trip, ESRI representatives visited the cities of Aghdam, Khojaly, Zangilan, Jabrayil, Kalbajar, and Shusha, as well as the village of Malibayli in Khojaly, the Karkijahan settlement in the city of Khankendi, and the villages of Sus and Beylik in Lachin. They also held meetings with representatives from the Aghdam Industrial Park, the special representatives of Khojaly, Khankendi, and Shusha, and the Lachin Service Department of the Eastern Zangazur Regional Employment Branch.

The discussions during these meetings focused on collecting the most relevant and significant data necessary for the preparation of the socio-economic passports. Additionally, key issues that required further clarification were thoroughly examined.
