From November 4 to 9, a delegation from Azerbaijan, led by the Chairman of the Board of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI), Mr. Shain Sadiqov, visited Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, to discuss expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The delegation also included Mr. Manaf Bagirzadeh, Head of the Digital Economy and Innovations Department of the Institute.

During the visit, business meetings were held with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation; Ministry of Economy and Finance; Ministry of Digital Technologies; Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment; the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company; and Samarkand State University. Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) and the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
