On the 22nd of December 2022, the 13th meeting of the Board of Directors of the CAREC Institute was held. First Deputy Director of the Board of Directors of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI), doctor of economic sciences, prof. Arzu Huseynova, Leading Research Fellow of the Department of Local and International Cooperation of the ESRİ, Natig Madatov, and Research Fellow of the same department Shukur Guliyev attended the meeting.

During the meeting, which took place online and was made of four sessions new Director of CAREC Institute Kabir Jurazoda welcomed the participants and presented the CAREC Institute progress report for 2022. Deputy Directors, Isgandar Abdullayev and JingJing Huan made presentations on the Operations Plan for 2023-2024 and the budget and recruitment plan for 2023. 

During the meeting highlighting the successful organization of the 6th CAREC Think Tank Development Forum which was held in Baku with the co-organization of the ESRI, representative of the ESRI Natig Madatov stressed the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ESRI and the CAREC institute. He also mentioned that all cooperation proposals were collected from the Ministry of Economy and all of its bodies for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding. Among the final proposals, Natig Madatov suggested establishing a road map for 2023 between CAREC Institute and ESRI on the implementation of the signed Memorandum of Understanding.

The Board positively assessed the ESRI proposals and stressed that this issue will be discussed in due course.
