The next meeting of the working group on technology and innovations of the Commission on Business Climate and International Ratings of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place on August 10th, 2022.

The meeting was attended by deputy chair of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Salmanov, as the head of the working group, together with representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Economic Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, State Statistical Committee, Intellectual Property Agency, Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), Central Bank, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and private sector.

During the meeting information was provided by the implementing agencies on the work carried on respective items of the Plan of Actions for 2022 by the working group on technology and innovations. It was also noted that contacts were made to convey statistical data pertaining to Azerbaijan on the indicators which did not exist in the Global Innovations Index and which received low results to international organizations with that data being published on the websites of international organizations.
The results of the surveys conducted by SMBDA to study the demand for ICT among small and medium enterprises and to assess the existing situation to make investments into the field of science of the private sector were disclosed.

At the end of the meeting a decision was made to coordinate the activity of the entities represented in the Working Group on Technology and Innovations and to contunue to convey the important data to international organisations.
