On July 27, 2022, a seminar on the theme "Support of the Development Center of Azerbaijan Public-Private Partnership and the project development fund" was held by the visiting mission of the Asian Development Bank in Baku.
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, its subordinate institutions, including the think tank of the Ministry, and other state institutions participated in the event. Within the framework of the event, the think-tank of the Ministry was represented by Elnur Alakbarov, acting head of the Department of Macroeconomic Research, and Shukur Guliyev, the chief specialist of that department. During the seminar, the participants were introduced to the selection process of public-private partnership projects, screening tools of public-private partnership projects, project management plans, and other issues within the guidelines of selecting public-private partnership projects. Moreover, participants were provided with information about the questions which should be answered during the project selection process, the selection criteria, and their evaluation.
Furthermore, project selection criteria were shown on specific examples – student dormitory projects of Baku State University and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and it was noted that the evaluation of these projects as a public-private partnership project continues.
