On June 23-26, 2022, the IV International Scientific Conference of Researchers in the Field of Economics and Management was held with the organization of the International Master's and Doctoral Center of the Azerbaijan State Economic University Economics (UNEC) and main sponsorship of "PASHA Holding" Group of Companies. Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov, Rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov, MPs, representatives of state and private institutions, scientists, and researchers participated in the opening ceremony of the international scientific conference organized at "Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard". Professor Adalat Muradov, the rector of UNEC, noted in his speech that articles were sent to the conference from a total of 27 countries, including Azerbaijan. He noted that about 50 lecture sessions will be organized during the conference days and these sessions will be held in an online format.
Other speakers who took the floor on the opening day of the conference talked about the state programs adopted in the direction of the economic development of the country, the development of science and education, the transition to the "Green" economy, alternative energy resources, the importance of the development of the "Green" economy, changes in the labor market and the role of higher education institutions in this direction.
Arzu Huseynova, Natig Madatov, Elnur Alakbarov, Emil Gasimov, Vusal Hasanov, Samira Mirzaliyeva, and Karim Hajiyev participated in the opening ceremony of the conference on behalf of the ESRI.
During the conference, Vusal Hasanov, the chief specialist of the Department of Macroeconomic Research, and Karim Hajiyev, a specialist of that department, and a participant in the Patriotic War, who was awarded the medal "for the liberation of Kalbajar" by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, made a presentation on the topic "Development of trade, transport and tourism relations of Azerbaijan with Turkic-speaking countries".
In his speech, Karim Hajiyev gave extensive information about the current state of trade, transport and tourism relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkic-speaking countries, as well as noted the importance of implementing relevant measures in order to develop relations and increase efficiency taking into account the potential opportunities in this field.
An article by the head of ESRI's Macroeconomic Research Department v.i.e. Elnur Alakbarov and Emil Gasimov, senior researcher of that department on "The role of transport corridors in economic development" was presented to the conference. Emil Gasimov, who made a presentation at the report session of the conference, talked about the role of the existing transport corridors passing through our country and touched on the reality of the near future and the importance of the Zangezur corridor.
