On February 15th, 2023, the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) held an international seminar on the topic “Electronic Waste and Global Trends” at Khazar University. 

The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Food Safety Agency, universities and civil society. 

The Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) was represented at the event by Samira Mirzaliyeva and Narmina Ismayilova. The seminar featured opening remarks by HPAP Azerbaijan Project Coordinator, Rovhsan Abbasov, rector of Khazar University, Irada Khalilova, as well as GAHP representative Lucile Okio. 

Afterwards, Cornelius Peter Balde, expert of the UN Training and Enlightenment Organization, delivered presentations covering the topic.
