Representatives of the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) held a meeting with the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE) as part of their working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Vice Rector of the TSUE, Doctor of Economics Mukhiddin Kalonov, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Protocol Laylo Yakshiıboeva and Manager of the same Department Mirazam Mirsolikhov participated in the meeting. During the meeting, giving detailed information about the activities of the Economic Institute under the TSUE, Mr. Kalonov mentioned common action points with the ESRI and discussed possible cooperation opportunities. It should be mentioned that the meeting was held in harmony of Azerbaijani, Uzbek and Turkish languages. 

In the course the meeting, the sides exchanged views about organisations they represent. The sides determined that there is common interest and potential for the exchange of visiting associate fellows and PhD students, preparation of joint articles by PhD students, application for joint publications and grant competitions. The ESRI representatives Natig Madatov and Shukur Guliyev informed about the activities of the Institute and invited TSUE representatives to attend the III Think Tank Forum of Economic Cooporation Organization to be held by ESRI in the fourth quarter of 2023.

In the end, TSUE representatives informed that they are interested in signing the memorandum of understanding and taking other joint steps with the ESRI.
