Digital economy is a complicated development associated with the transformation of the social and economic institutes of the society at micro and macro levels.
From June 7th to June 8th, 2023 with the joint organization of the Intentional Centre for Scientific and Technical Information and the Mongolian Academy of Sciences an international scientific conference on the topic “Digital environment and economy: the role of scientific and technological information” took place in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
During the conference representing Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) via a video conference, First Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors, doctor of economic sciences, Arzu Huseynova, delivered a speech on the topic “Ranking analysis of the level of digital transformation of economy”.
In her speech Prof. Huseynova noted that digital economy is a complicated development associated with the transformation of the social and economic institutes of the society at micro and macro levels. Therefore, digital economy must be assessed via several rankings. This ranking assessment methodology mainly includes 22 indicators brought together in 5 sub-indexes, but this methodology does not allow for the full assessment of the economy. Hence, a methodology for comprehensive assessment of digital economy must be developed.
